AceShowbiz - Godzilla Minus Zero will hold Godzilla Day IMAX Early Access Screenings on Tuesday, November 3, three days before its nationwide theatrical release on November 6. The announcement marks a historic milestone for the franchise, as the film is the first Japanese production ever to be Filmed For IMAX.
Director Takashi Yamazaki collaborated with IMAX throughout production to craft a film made end-to-end for The IMAX Experience. The movie was shot entirely in Japan with IMAX-certified digital cameras, and it features 75 minutes of IMAX's exclusive 1.90:1 Expanded Aspect Ratio. Select IMAX with Laser theatres will present 75 minutes in IMAX's 1.43:1 Expanded Aspect Ratio.
The film was enhanced frame by frame with IMAX's proprietary Digital Media Remastering technology and features a custom sound mix optimized for IMAX theatres. These technical specifications underscore the production's commitment to delivering a presentation tailored specifically for the large-format experience.
Godzilla Minus Zero stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe. The film has a runtime of 135 minutes and is rated R.
