AceShowbiz - Marvel will release a one-shot comic titled Gold ’76 #1 in September 2026, featuring the deadly assassin Bullseye. The story centers on a high-stakes mission where Thanos hires Bullseye to eliminate a highly significant figure in the Marvel Universe.

The plot unfolds in New York City, where Bullseye faces off against cosmic heroes Star-Lord, Nova, and Jack of Hearts, who attempt to thwart his assassination attempt. These characters, all introduced in 1976, bring powers that surpass Bullseye’s skills, making for an intense clash. Star-Lord and Nova share a history as former members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, though the group rarely interacts as a unit. This unusual team-up celebrates the 50th anniversary of all four characters’ debuts.

Editor Mark Paniccia described the assembly of these characters as one of the most unexpected combinations in comics, aiming to spotlight them with fresh stories and renewed attention. Stephanie Phillips, known for her previous work on Daredevil, penned the comic. Madibek Musabekov, who has credits including Star Wars: Shadow of Maul, provided the interior art, while the main cover is illustrated by Leinil Francis Yu, accompanied by variant covers from Hicham Habchi and John Romita Jr.

Bullseye has been spotlighted beyond comics as well, with a reality-action series titled Bullseye airing from 2015 and starring Kellan Lutz. The show was distributed by Fox and produced by Endemol Shine North America, expanding the character’s reach into television.
