AceShowbiz - The free-jazz ensemble Irreversible Entanglements have announced their upcoming album Future Present Past, set for release on March 27, 2024, via Impulse! Records. This highly anticipated record features collaborations with Helado Negro and New York-based vocalist Motherboard, who appear on several tracks throughout the album.

Listeners can already experience early glimpses of the project through the singles “Don’t Lose Your Head” and “Vibrate Higher,” both featuring the distinct vocals of Motherboard. These tracks showcase the group’s innovative fusion of jazz improvisation and socially conscious lyricism.

The band consists of Camae Ayewa (also known as Moor Mother), bassist Luke Stewart, trumpeter Aquiles Navarro, saxophonist Keir Neuringer, and drummer Tcheser Holmes. Their previous album, Protect Your Light, was released in 2023 and received critical acclaim for its experimental and powerful sound.

Future Present Past was engineered by Jonathan Schenke and mixed by Andrew Lappin, ensuring a polished yet raw sonic experience that captures the quintet’s dynamic energy. The album continues to build on the band’s reputation for blending jazz with elements of spoken word and activism.
