A close Kanye confidante told The New York Post that Censori tried to back out of the scheme several times, saying, "She would have much rather worn a pretty dress."

However, Ye refused to let her change her mind. "When Ye gets something in his head, there's no talking him out of it," the insider said. "But make no mistake, this was totally him and not her."
