AceShowbiz - Eminem has released the music video for his latest single, "Tobey," featuring fellow Detroit natives Big Sean and Babytron. The song serves as the second single from Em's upcoming twelfth studio album, "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace)."
In the Cole Bennett-directed clip, the trio showcases their hometown pride as they rap in various locations in Detroit. Multiple copies of each rapper appear on screen as they deliver their respective verses. It ends with a murderous Em in the slaughter house.
"Tobey" sees Eminem addressing recent criticism from hip-hop legend Melle Mel, who claimed that Em's inclusion on a top five best rappers list was primarily due to his race. Em responds with, "So when I get dissed though by a pioneer who is one of the reasons why I am here / They tell me that I should just let the s**t go and slide / Melle Mel shouldn't get no reply, that man is a legend / B***h, so am I."
The rapper has released two singles from the album to date: "Houdini" and "Tobey" ahead of "The Death of Slim Shady," which was announced during the NFL Draft in April. Production on the album includes contributions from Dr. Dre. However, few other details about the project have been revealed.
