The brother of Match of the Day star Gary Lineker has opened up on social media after a horrifying attack left him unconscious in the early hours of Wednesday morning, June 12 in Ibiza.

AceShowbiz - Wayne Lineker, 62, has broken his social media silence after being attacked at 4am outside the Eden Bar in San Antonio, Ibiza. The incident occurred after Lineker intervened when a group of men began harassing his female companion.
Video footage shows Lineker holding his arm up in self-defense before a man punches him in the face, knocking him unconscious for over five minutes. An 18-year-old witness stated that Wayne "looked like he could have been dead at one point."
Following the attack, Lineker posted a heartfelt message to his 20-year-old son, Freddie, on Instagram. The caption accompanying a video of a young Freddie playing with a hoop reads, "Happy 20th birthday to my special handsome boy and superstar DJ."
Lineker expressed his pride in Freddie's independence and strength, saying, "So proud of you when you said this to me. Love you."
Despite his strained relationship with his brother Gary Lineker, 63, Wayne said he still has a strong bond with his nephews, calling them "so close."
Lineker also shared a video of himself toasting champagne with the female friend at the center of the row, captioning it, "Bunny's back."
