AceShowbiz - Gerry Turner and his new wife Theresa Nist were not the only happy couple during their televised wedding. In addition to the "Golden Bachelor" couple's union, the Thursday, January 4 ceremony featured Bachelor Nation star's proposal to his girlfriend Christina Mandrell.
During the nuptials' cocktail hour, host Jesse Palmer chatted with Brayden and Christina. The couple talked about their upcoming move to Tennessee, before Brayden shockingly got down on one knee to propose to Christina. "For the first time in my life, I feel like I've found someone I can be myself with unapologetically. Like Gerry said, we have such little time," he told her. "I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
The "Bachelor in Paradise" alum didn't get to finish his proposal as Christina quickly said yes and gave him a kiss. "Put it on me!" she jokingly demanded, before noting, "This is why we got our nails done?"
Jesse revealed that Gerry and Theresa had given permission to Brayden to propose to Christina on their special day.
Brayden first appeared in Charity Lawson's "The Bachelorette" season. He continued his love journey by joining "Bachelor in Paradise" last summer, but was eliminated in the fourth week. He eventually found love in Christina outside of the franchise. Of how their relationship started, Brayden revealed on "The Golden Wedding" special, "She actually DM'd me. We just started hitting it off."
Their relationship was revealed in the season finale of "BiP" as a message read, "Now, Brayden is dating Christina from [Zach Shallcross]' season. Brayden is teaching Christina's daughter how to accessorize." Following the revelation, Christina took to Instagram to share a celebratory post.
"AHHH! We can 'FINALEy' shout it from the rooftops!! Beyond the cameras and reality show drama, Brayden (aka MY BOYFRIEND!) and I found something truly special," Christina shared on Instagram in December 2023. "In each other, we have a space where being unapologetically ourselves is not just accepted but celebrated! Something I never knew I was missing until I did."
