AceShowbiz - Honey Boo Boo has opted to move in with her boyfriend Dralin Carswell. More than one month after graduating from high school, the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star, whose real name is Alana Thompson, attributed "security reasons" for her decision against living in her campus.
The 17-year-old reality TV star shared her plans for college with Entertainment Tonight. During an interview on Thursday, July 20, she told the outlet, "I'll be moving off campus for security reasons and because Dralin is coming with me." As she attends Regis University for nursing, her 21-year-old boyfriend will move to Denver, Colorado from Georgia to live with her.
"I think he's more excited to move there than me. He's ready to move out of our small town and experience something new too," Alana went on to say. She further noted that it will be their first time moving in together despite being in a relationship for nearly three years. "I think it'll be good for us honestly and I mean, I think it will be fun. Even though I'm moving halfway across the country, it'll be good for me," she stated.
Alana additionally talked about her decision against joining a sorority. "I don't want to be part of a sorority," she spilled. On the reason why, she explained, "Because - and don't hound me for saying this - all sorority girls are stuck up! That's not me. I'm not a Chanel bag type of girl. I'm gonna do my studies and graduate in 2029."
About her and Dralin's plans for their future together, Alana unveiled, "I don't want kids and he does. I'd like to stay in Colorado long enough to work in nursing after school." When asked whether or not Dralin is the right one to be her long time partner, she responded, "I can't say that because I don't know what life holds, but I hope."
Elsewhere in the interview, Alana opened up about growing up under the spotlight. "Yeah, I have been on TV my whole life and I kind of just basically accepted that whether I want to go be a nurse or I want to go be an accountant, whatever I want to go be, that I will always be in the spotlight," she said. "It doesn't matter what I do, I will always probably be known as, 'Oh my god, Honey Boo Boo's working on my baby when he was in the NICU.' "
