AceShowbiz - Morgan Wallen has something to offer on Thanksgiving. To celebrate the holiday, the country crooner unleashed a music video for "Thought You Should Know" as in which he expresses his gratitude for his family, especially his mom Lesli.

The Justin Clough-directed visuals was released on Thursday, November 24. It features old footage from Morgan's childhood, including his second birthday celebration. Between the clips, the musician performs the heartfelt tune as his mom watches on and sings along from behind the camera. The mother and son duo later share a sweet hug at the end of the clip.

"I thought you should know/ That all those prayers you thought you wasted on me/ Must've finally made their way on through," the 29-year-old sings in the chorus. "I thought you should know/ I got me a new girl down there in Jefferson City, and/ She lets me fish whenever I want to/ Yeah, I'm still proud of where I came from/ Still your only damn son/ Can you believe I'm on the radio?/ Just thought you should know, thought you should know, thought you should know."

To promote the music video, Morga wrote on Instagram, "Hope y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving. Wanted to remind y'all how grateful I am for you, for my family, my mama and our good Lord. y'all have really made this a special year for me." He added, "Heres the vid for Thought You Should Know. Link in bio."

Morgan first teased the song in May 2021. Sharing a video of him singing the tune while strumming his guitar, he said, "Wrote this song for my mom a while ago. Seemed like an appropriate time to share it."

Upon the song's release, Morgan penned, "This one's for you mama. I know it didn't always seem like those prayers were getting through. I Hope this song is a testament to the fact that they did." He continued, "Still your only damn son, Morgan."
