Assuring fans that he got 'only a mild case of COVID-19', the bass guitarist of the 'Ordinary World' new wave band claims he 'cannot wait to be back onstage again.'

AceShowbiz - John Taylor is advising people not to panic when dealing with coronavirus pandemic. Revealing that he is recovering from COVID-19 after testing positive almost three weeks ago, the bass guitarist of Duran Duran assured fans that this virus, which has caused crisis around the world, "isn't always a killer."

On Sunday, April 5, the English musician shared on his band's Facebook account about his coronavirus diagnosis. "DEAR FRIENDS OF MINE after giving some thought to this, I have decided to share with you that I tested positive with the Corona Virus almost three weeks ago," he began his lengthy message.

"Perhaps I am a particularly robust 59 year old - I like to think I am - or was blessed with getting only a mild case of Covid 19 - but after a week or so of what I would describe as a 'Turbo-charged Flu,' " Taylor continued detailing. Adding that he "came out of it feeling okay," he spilled, "I didn't mind the quarantine as it gave me the chance to really recover."

The "Ordinary World" hitmaker further weighed in on the horror caused by the global pandemic. "I am speaking out in answer to the enormous amount of fear being generated by the pandemic, some of it entirely justified, and my heart goes out to everyone who has had to deal with real loss and pain," he stated. "But I want to let you know that it isn't always a killer, and we can and will beat this thing."

Taylor also gave a shoutout to countries he has visited, the ones that were heavily affected by the pandemic. "Sending LOVE to all my Homies and Fans, in Italy particularly, the U.K. and the U.S. and everywhere in the world I have been lucky enough to visit on my travels with DURAN DURAN," he expressed his support.

The husband of Juicy Couture co-founder Gela Nash concluded his post by stating that he "cannot wait to be back onstage again, sharing new music, love and joy." He further encouraged his followers to "stay safe, stay connected and get creative!"
