The 'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness' star receives treatment at the Federal Medical Center Forth Worth after being placed in quarantine for Covid-19.

AceShowbiz - "Tiger King" star Joe Exotic is in a prison medical facility after being placed in precautionary quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Released earlier this month, March 2020 on Netflix, "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" follows the exploits of Joe, a prolific tiger breeder, who ran a popular illegal zoo in Oklahoma.

While the tiger lover was sentenced to 22 years in jail for plotting to kill an animal rights activist and other wildlife violations, the star, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was recently transferred from a county jail, where he was being held since his sentencing in January 2020, to a federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas.

Due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, Joe was quarantined as a safety precaution upon his arrival at the prison, because he was possibly exposed during a stay at a different prison.

According to documents obtained by the New York Post, however, Joe has since been moved to the Federal Medical Center Forth Worth, operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The reason for his stay at the facility remains unknown.

It is currently a standard procedure for all inmates checking into any prison to be placed in quarantine due to the global health crisis. During the 14-day isolation period, inmates are not able to make any telephone calls or check and send emails.
