The 'Jesus Is King' rapper says that he will tone down his old lyrics and alter them to be more religious-inspired now that he offers his service to God.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West will never perform his old songs like it used to be now that he tries to get closer to God. The rapper said he would change his wild lyrics to be more family friendly for future concerts during a sit-down interview on the Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show.

When he was asked by the host what would happen to the old Kanye catalogue, the born-again Christian rapper compared himself to the late Apple founder Steve Jobs as he replied, "When you go to the Apple Store, I'm not going to be seeing no iPod 4."

However, he could still play the beat but he's going to "adjust" the lyrics to be God-inspired. "When I do 'Jesus Walks,' I say, 'We ain't trying to turn atheists into believers.' Now I say, 'We are turning atheists into believers,' and it be all off beat and everything."

"Now that I'm in service to Christ, my job is to spread the gospel, to let people know what Jesus has done for me," he told Zane Lowe in a separate chat. "I've spread a lot of things. There was a time I was letting you know what high fashion had done for me, I was letting you know what the Hennessy had done for me, but now I'm letting you know what Jesus has done for me."

Kanye declared himself a born-again Christian earlier this year after almost quitting his career because he believed rap was the devil's music. He released his first Gospel album "Jesus Is King" on October 25 after numerous delays.

He offered a glimpse into his new music as a changed man through a series of his "Sunday Service" concerts. The old Kanye who loved to curse and talked about drugs and sex was indeed nowhere to be seen in his new studio offerings which received mixed reviews.

His wife Kim Kardashian told "The View" back in September, "Kanye started this to really heal himself and it was a really personal thing, and it was just friends and family. He has had an amazing evolution of being born again and being saved by Christ."

The hip hop star is now getting ready to hit the road for a series of live shows. It will be his first tour since 2016 when his "Saint Pablo Tour" was cut short due to his hospitalization.
