In a Twitter post, the 'No Problem' spitter explains how bad graphic violence affects his mental health and the way he values human life.

AceShowbiz - Social media users were sent into frenzy on Monday, December 3 after Tumblr announced that it would permanently ban adult content from its platform. Chance the Rapper has weighed in on the issue, asking Twitter to ban any kind of graphic violence from its site because he thinks that kind of stuff is as bad as pornography content.

"They banning nipples on tumblr but im seeing people get murdered graphically every day on this app. Like real snuff video, non related to police shooting," he wrote on the micro-blogging site, explaining how bad it was for his mental health. "Wtf yo. That s**t honestly terrible for my mental and f***ing up how I value human life. Help?"

Chance tagged Twitter Support's official account on his post, but he has yet to receive any feedback. Despite that, more than 33,000 people have supported his sentiment by leaving a like on his post.

Tumblr announced its decision to ban all adult content from its platform starting from December 17. with a few exceptions such as breastfeeding and nude classical statues. Users who have their posts flagged by algorithms have been notified that their content will soon be hidden from view. Posts with porn content will be set to private, which will prevent them from being reblogged or shared elsewhere in the community.

"We know there will be mistakes, but we've done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community," Tumblr's chie Jeff D'Onofrio stated in a blog post. "Most importantly, we're going be to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we're making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content."

The decision was taken after Tumblr was pulled from Apple's app store after images of child abuse were found to have got around the site's filter.
