The music video features the Scottish DJ and the British singer having fun at a nightclub along with drag queens.

AceShowbiz - Last month, Calvin Harris released his collaboration with Sam Smith, "Promises", after much anticipation. The song has now gotten a music video treatment which was released on Tuesday, September 4 and it features a large group of drag queens.

The music video opens with a slew of men who work as drag queens at night being interviewed. Talking about their job, all of them say that they are happy with their current because they don't have to pretend to be someone that they don't want to be. "We really can do anything in that world," one person shares. "And be accepted. Be celebrated, not just be accepted."

Sam is then seen singing the first verse of the song as clips of drag queens having fun at a nightclub show on the screen. Partying at a nightclub apparently is not enough for them as the next scene sees the drag queens dancing up and down at a room along with Sam.

Model Winnie Harlow is also featured in the music video, flaunting her unique feature in a white top and matching shorts. The "America's Next Top Model" alum is later seen joining the fun as the party now moves to her home, a runway. Many of them are excited to show of their outstanding outfit while walking down the runway.

Considering that the theme of the music video is not something that musicians usually use, the duo receive heaps of praises in the comment section. "Thank you for making this video recognizing the LGBT clubs. It warms my heart so much!" one fan writes, as another adds, "We love gay representations," along with two clapping hands emojis.

"Promises" was released on August 17 via Columbia Records and Sony Music. The song was a commercial success in both U.K. and the U.S. It peaked at No. 8 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and at No. 2 on U.K. Singles chart. The song additionally topped U.K. Dance chart.

It's still unclear whether the song will be included on Calvin's upcoming album.
