The Houston rapper is seen in the trailer being transported to the world, where he rides in a shopping cart as rocks and fire balls fly past him.

AceShowbiz - Travis Scott (II)'s forthcoming album "Astroworld" finally has an official release date, two years after the rapper announced the project. It's announced on Monday, July 30 that the long-awaited effort would arrive on August 3 via Grant Hustle Records, Epic Records and Cactus Jack Records. Along with the release date announcement, Travis unveiled a new teaser for the album.

Featuring a preview on unreleased song "Stargazing", the cinematic trailer sees the Houston spitter walking through a snow-filled world as the planets orbit around him. He is later transported to a post-apocalyptic world, where he rides in a shopping cart as rocks and fire balls fly past him.

Travis does not look afraid at all as he is seen laughing and spitting lyrics to the song. "Rollin', rollin', rollin', got me stargazin'/ Psychedelics got me goin' crazy... Getting jealous/ Propane repellent," he raps, switching between his regular cadence and an autotune falsetto.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, Travis said that the album had "been set in stone since 'Rodeo'." He added, "My whole idea was if you locked in to 'Rodeo', you definitely locked into 'Astroworld'. I'm just finishing the saga I started on my first album. This is supposed to be my second album. I had to go quick, because like I said, I had all these ideas, I just had to get off real quick, but now I'm finally back home with 'Astroworld'."

"Astroworld" will be a follow-up to his sophomore album "Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight", which was released on September 2, 2016. Supported by two singles "Pick Up the Phone" and "Goosebumps", the effort received generally positive reviews from music critics and arrived atop Billboard 200 chart. The album was additionally certified platinum by the RIAA after racking up more than one million units.
