AceShowbiz - "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" star Karen Gillan's directorial debut has been picked up by bosses at The Orchard.

"The Party's Just Beginning" made its North American premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, where it was one of the stand-out movies.

Shot in Gillan's native Inverness, Scotland, she spent 10 years developing the project, in which she stars as a young woman trying to come to terms with a recent loss.

The cast also includes Gillan's "Guardians of the Galaxy" castmate Lee Pace, Siobhan Redmond, and Jamie Quinn.
