AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle's dog is already enjoying a royal lifestyle and he apparently has no problem getting along with the Queen. In fact, the beagle named Guy was seen getting a ride with Queen Elizabeth II ahead of the royal wedding.
The pup was pictured on the backseat of a car, accompanying Prince Harry's grandmother who was heading to Windsor Castle for the nuptials on Saturday, May 19. The beagle was seen peering out the window with Her Majesty sitting opposite.
Meghan's beloved pooch has lived a rags-to-riches story. He was found in the woods and was set to be put down before being transported by volunteers from the U.S. to Canada, where he and other dogs were put up for adoption. The lucky dog was eventually adopted by the former "Suits" actress, who later brought him with her to London in November. Meanwhile, Meghan's other beloved dog named Bogart remained in Los Angeles with a friend.
The Queen herself is known for her love for dogs. She was recently left heartbroken after her last corgi, Willow, died after a long battle with cancer. A Buckingham Palace source reportedly told The Daily Mail that the British Monarch was "more upset about Willow's death than any of them," explaining, "It is probably because Willow was the last link to her parents and a pastime that goes back to her own childhood. It really does feel like the end of an era."
Prince Harry revealed during his November 2017 engagement interview that the Queen's corgis immediately liked the former actress. "The corgis took to you straight away," Harry told Meghan in their first sit-down together. "I've spent the last 33 years being barked at, this one walks in, absolutely nothing ... just wagging tails, and I was like, 'Argh.' "
