AceShowbiz - As filming on "Avengers 4" continues, a slew of photos taken from the set have made their way out online. Obtained by Chinese website Weibo, the photos seemingly confirmed that Jeremy Renner's Clint Burton would be ditching his Hawkeye persona in favor of a different identity, Ronin. It's unclear when the photos were taken, but they hit the web on Tuesday evening, October 24.
Renner was not in action. The 46-year-old actor was seen dressing in black from head to toe. He wore a long trench coat to hide his new black suit that featured gold lining, which looked almost exactly like Clint Barton's Ronin costume, not his Hawkeye look. The actor sported huge sunglasses while carrying a black backpack.
すごい遠景だけどアベンジャーズ4(仮)のホークアイの写真出てた。今回の衣装は(も?)黒ベースで差し色が金になるのかな?https://t.co/nvi7x4zqGP pic.twitter.com/ageg2z3MQ1

In the comic books, Barton takes the mantle of Ronin when he rejoins the Avengers following "Civil War". It would make sense if this new costume for "Avengers 4" really does indicate that Barton is taking up the new mantle. Hawkeye was last seen in "Captain America: Civil War", which found the Avengers breaking apart over the Sokovia Accords that established a UN panel to control the team. Hawkeye sided with Captain America/Steve Rogers as he chose to reject government control.
Fans will have to wait quite a while to see Clint Barton adopting the mantle of samurai sword-wielding Ronin, as "Avengers 4" is due out in the U.S. on May 3, 2019. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film also sees the return of Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie
Josh Brolin will once again play the Mad Titan Thanos. Also joining the cast are "Guardians of the Galaxy" stars, including Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff and Sean Gunn, "Doctor Strange" stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong as well as "Captain Marvel" star Brie Larson.
Before the fourth "Avengers" movie, the third one, "Avengers: Infinity War", will arrive first on May 4 next year.
