AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have set their wedding date. The rumor emerged after the British prince took his actress girlfriend to meet his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, after Her Majesty returned from her extended holiday in Scotland. The trio allegedly had a tea party at the Queen's private sitting room on the first floor of the Kensington Palace.
According to a scoop from Vanity Fair, Prince Harry plans to tie the knot with the "Suits" actress at St. George's chapel in Windsor. While his older brother Prince William married Kate Middleton in a grand wedding back in 2011, Harry wants to have a more private ceremony.
While engagement is inevitable, a wedding won't likely take place until next year since the rest of the years are already filled with important dates that can't clash with a royal wedding. June and July are reportedly earmarked for Harry and Meghan's nuptials.
"William and Kate are expecting their third baby mid April, and Harry won't want to overshadow the birth of another prince or princess, and, of course, the Duchess will need some time to recover before she is at such a high-profile event. The most likely date is early summer 2018, which neatly ties in with Harry and Meghan's second anniversary," an insider explained.
Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 32, started dating in 2016. They were introduced by a mutual friend. Their relationship was confirmed in November roughly a week after it was revealed by the media. If they're married, it will be her second walk down the aisle. The brunette stunner was previously married to actor Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2013.
After meeting the Queen, Markle was back in Toronto to film her TV show which is entering season 8. Rumor has it, she won't return for another season after wrapping up the filming for the eighth installment. She allegedly plans to move to U.K. to get closer to her royal boyfriend.
The couple made their first official public appearance together during Invictus Games in September. The actress even flew her mother, a yoga instructor from Los Angeles, to Canada to meet her boyfriend during the paralympic games.
