Katy Perry Helps Two Fans Get Engaged on National Coming Out Day

The 'Swish Swish' hitmaker gets emotional as she prostrates on the stage and helps a female fan propose to her girlfriend at her concert.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry just granted one of her fans' wish onstage and it was epic. On October 11, Katy pulled a lucky lesbian couple and said she would grant their wish at her concert at Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York. That day also happened to be National Coming Out Day.

"You said you had a wish. Well, this is a shooting star," Katy said to one of her fans, Katie, as she pointed out to the concert decoration. It turns out that Katie's wish was to spend the rest of her life with her girlfriend, Becky, who was celebrating her birthday that day.

"Well, I don't know if you all have seen Becky. But she's pretty even without any makeup on," Katie said as the crowd started to cheer out of excitement. She paused for a while to look at her girlfriend and continued, "And she's perfect every time I look at her."

The cheer got louder when Katie pulled a ring box out of her pocket, getting down on one knee. She then asked that one question, "Will you marry me?"

Witnessing the whole moment, it seemed the 32-year-old singer couldn't contain her excitement as she prostrated on the stage. Katy then got up and told Becky, "Say yes Becky if you want to get married!" Well, it turned out Becky did want to get married.

Hearing her girlfriend's answer, Katie jumped up and gave Becky a kiss and a hug. She told Katy, "My wish came true," to which the singer responded, "Was Katie's wish came true everyone? Give it up for Katie!"

The joyous moment ended with the newly-engaged couple taking a selfie with Katy. "Should we get a selfie cause you're like Beyonce?" the singer jokingly said.

Katy is currently hitting the road for her "The Witness Tour" after pushing it back to September 19. Noah Cyrus, Purity Ring and Carly Rae Jepsen are joining her as the opening acts.
