The actor reveals that he has done filming 'the death' of his character on long-running British series 'Doctor Who', where he plays the twelfth doctor.

AceShowbiz - It's time to say goodbye to Peter Capaldi's twelfth doctor on "Doctor Who". The actor recently revealed that he had done filming "death" scene of his character on the long-running British series.

Joined by Warren Beatty, Keeley Hawes and Jennifer Hudson, Peter guested on Friday, April 14 episode of "The Graham Norton Show". "I have done, uh, the death of my character," he opened up to host Graham Norton.

However, Peter didn't want to give away much details of the upcoming 10th season of the series. "I can't tell you what's gonna happen, but it's gonna be very interesting," Peter added. "I can tell you that I have recorded the death of my character, but I can't tell you anything else," said Peter.

When asked about the reason why he exited the show, Peter responded, " 'Doctor Who' is a great job, but it is a bit of a television factory. You do twelve episodes a year, and I just worried that I wouldn't be able to continue doing my best work." He continued, "I like to be able to learn the lines and do some preparation and come in and give it some vigor and not hate it. I just figure, while you're enjoying it, leave."

Fans previously expected that Peter would exit the show in Christmas special ever since the actor announced in January that he would leave the show. However, it seems like fans need to bid adieu with the twelfth doctor way sooner than what has expected, considering that Peter has confirmed the death scene before this year Christmas special hasn't started filming.

"Doctor Who" returns to BBC and BBC America with season 10 premiere episode "The Pilot" on Saturday, April 15.
