The Hal depicter says that 'there's been a conversation' about a possible movie remake of FOX's comedy series 'Malcolm in the Middle'.

AceShowbiz - Bryan Cranston has hinted that "Malcolm in the Middle" movie could be happening. While promoting his movie "Why Him?" during a Reddit AMA on Sunday, December 18, the 60-year-old actor said that "there's been a conversation" about a possible movie remake of the FOX comedy series.

"There has been some conversation about that," the Hal depicter on the sitcom airing in 2000-2006 revealed, before adding that he din't know if or when that could happen. "I guess we have to gauge the temperament of the fans to see if its something they want," he said. "But maybe. It would be fun to play with all those people again."

Cranston was joined by his "Why Him?" co-star James Franco in the forum, during which he told the latter, "It would be like if you did a 'Freaks and Geeks' movie." Liking the idea, Franco responded, "Maybe for 'Freaks and Geeks' it could be the 20 year high school reunion!" He added, "I don't know if my character would go to the reunion though. Maybe he just never left town."

In "Why Him?", Franco portrays Laird, a billionaire boyfriend of Ned's (Cranston) daughter and the one Ned forms a bitter rivalry with. The comedy movie will arrive in theaters across the U.S. this Friday, with Zoey Deutch starring as Ned's daughter named Stephanie.
