'The Girl on the Train' New Trailer: Is Emily Blunt a Murderer?

Blunt's Rachel Watson is suspected for a murder after her ex-husband's nanny goes missing.

AceShowbiz - Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for "The Girl on the Train (2016)". It gives a glimpse into the life of Rachel Watson, portrayed by %cEmily Blunt%. Her life becomes a mess after her recent divorce. She is involved in a mysterious case after her ex-husband's nanny goes missing.

The trailer opens with Rachel saying, "I used to watch this perfect couple. They were the embodiment of true love." When Megan Hipwell (%cHaley Bennett%) goes missing, Rachel tries to help find her. Rachel says in voiceover, "I saw her from the train. She was with this man... just for a second."

When she tells her ex-husband Tom (%cJustin Theroux%) that she tries to find his nanny, he doesn't think she is helping anybody. Rachel is then suspected for a murder as she seems to be confused about what happened the night Megan went missing.

Based on Paula Hawkins' best-selling novel of the same name, the film centers on a woman named Rachel who is devastated by her recent divorce. She spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who lives in a house that her train passes every day, until she sees something shocking happen there one morning and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.

The film also stars %cLuke Evans%, %cAllison Janney% and %cRebecca Ferguson (II)%. "The Girl on the Train" hits U.S. theaters on October 7.
