Talking about his friendly rivalry with La'Porsha on the singing competition, the newly crowned winner says, 'Even post-'Idol' we're gonna be doing this together.'

AceShowbiz - Who says the winner stands alone?! For Trent Harmon, what he just achieved on "American Idol" was not only the result of his hard work, but also because La'Porsha Renae kept pushing him to be better. In an interview with ET post-his "Idol" win, the Amory, Mississippi native talks about his "most friendly rivalry" with his fellow Top 2 finalist.

"I said a little prayer right before and I told Porsha, I said, 'Porsha whatever happens, let's just hug. If they call your name or they call my name, let's just hug and not even care what they say.' And she agreed," he shares.

Trent even reveals his plans to make an album together with the runner-up. "I told her, 'Let go make an album! Let's go make one together, you be on mine, I'll be on yours, let's go do this. Let's go to work!' " he says.

The 25-year-old adds, "I'm just glad I get to go to work with my friend. Even post-'Idol' we're gonna be doing this together. We don't do it separately, we do it together. We sit next to each and I'll say, 'Porsha can you sing this?' and she'll say, 'Yeah but can you sing this?' We get better together."

Staying humble, Trent realizes his win is just the beginning of his real career in the industry. "I mean, I understand and I'm fully aware that all that happened tonight was it got me into the bottom of the next level," he says. "I'm gonna keep that mindset until further notice."
