Wonder Woman and Her Mentors Look Badass in New Image
Movie

Get your first look at Diana's Queen mother and two warrior aunts as they stand on guard behind Gal Gadot's character.

A brand new image from "Wonder Woman" has arrived online amid the mixed reviews of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". It shows Gal Gadot's heroine character standing on guard with her sword and shield as she's backed up by her three female badass mentors.

The picture, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, gives the very-first look at Diana's mother, Queen Hippolyta played by Connie Nielsen ("Gladiator"), and her two military aunts; General Antiope played by Robin Wright and Antiope's lieutenant, Menalippe played by Lisa Loven Kongsli.

The Queen also has a sword like her daughter while the General opts for a bow and the lieutenant chooses a spear as her weapon. "To me, they shouldn't be dressed in armor like men," director Patty Jenkins explains. "It should be different. It should be authentic and real - and appealing to women."

She adds, "I, as a woman, want Wonder Woman to be hot as hell, fight badass, and look great at the same time - the same way men want Superman to have huge pecs and an impractically big body. That makes them feel like the hero they want to be. And my hero, in my head, has really long legs."
