AceShowbiz - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is officially finished. While appearing at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center for the Celebrity Nerd-Off, director J.J. Abrams revealed that he just completed the final mix of the movie at 2 A.M. in the morning on Saturday, November 21.
Following the completion news, three new TV spots were released. All the TV spots share some never-before-seen footage which makes fans even more excited to see the film which will be released next month. However, the second video has been removed at the request of Disney.
The first trailer opens with BB-8 rolling through a jungle as he approaches Daisy Ridley's Rey. The video also gives a new look at some X-wing pilots. One of the pilots looks much the same as Nien Nunb, but it's unclear if it's really him or just another member of the same species.
The female pilot in the video is presumably Jessika Pava, a character who appeared in the novel "Weapon of a Jedi" and some speculated that the character may be played by Jessica Henwick. Meanwhile, the removed video gives a first look at Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o) alongside Finn (John Boyega). As for the third TV spot, it is comprised of some footage which has already appeared in previous trailers, but it also features a new one which captures Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) swinging his lightsaber.
"The Force Awakens" takes place approximately 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi". The movie brings back Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Carrie Fisher as Leia. The seventh installment of the blockbuster franchise is due to arrive in the U.S. on December 18.
