Check Out Unreleased Version of Jay-Z's 'The Black Gangster'
Music

The track, originally titled 'This Life Forever', was unearthed by DJ Absolut as part of his 'Mixtape Mondays' series.

AceShowbiz - While fans are eagerly waiting for Jay-Z's new music, a previously-unreleased song by the rapper has just been unearthed. A version of his "The Black Gangster" landed online earlier this week thanks to DJ Absolut who shared it as part of his "Mixtape Mondays" series.

According to XXL, the track was originally titled "This Life Forever" and was featured on the 1999 soundtrack of "Black Gangster" as well as on Hova's 2003 mixtape. It also appeared on a 1997 Roc-A-Fella Records promotional tape which came out before his second album, "In My Lifetime, Vol. 1".

"The Black Gangster" is not completely brand new material, but it should hold fans over until Hov releases his next project. Since putting out his latest LP, 2013's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail", he's been rumored to be readying a collaborative album with his wife Beyonce Knowles, though there's still no official word on it.

Recently, Jay Electronica hinted that Hov might have some new music in the works. He said on Twitter that the Roc Nation boss rapped a new verse to him over the phone, and he's already obsessed with it.
