The former country diva teamed up with the country group for their 2010 hit single when she brought her '1989' tour to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse arena on Wednesday night.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift briefly returned to her country roots with the help of The Band Perry as she made a tour stop in Indianapolis on Wednesday night, September 16. Taking the stage at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse arena, the 25-year-old pop superstar surprised the crowd when she brought out the group for a live rendition of their hit "If I Die Young".

"I want to remind you that anyone you see on the 1989 world tour coming out to surprise an audience. They're doing it for free out of the goodness of their heart because they wanted to come and play for you and surprise you," she said when introducing the band. "Any guest artist that you see on the 1989 tour stage had the opportunity to surprise any crowd at any show and they chose you, Indy."

Playing their respective guitar, Swift and her guests led a massive sing-along to the 2010 track which appears on The Band Perry's self-titled album.

Following their performance, the band shared on Instagram a photo they took with Swift backstage. "Dear @taylorswift thank you for a magical night. Dear Indianapolis thank you for a magical sing along. We love you. #1989tourindy," they captioned it.

Swift also took to her own Instagram account to post some pictures and a video from that night's show. "Tonight in Indianapolis, @thebandperry surprised the crowd and everyone sang 'If I Die Young' SO LOUD. Such a fun show!!" she wrote alongside a snap of her and the band.

"So put on your best, boys. And I'll wear my pearls." @thebandperry
