The '80s-inspired jam, which the Canadian singer says is one of her favorites from her upcoming album, was produced and co-penned by Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend.

AceShowbiz - Carly Rae Jepsen has dropped a new track from her upcoming album "E.MO.TION". The Canadian beauty premiered on Friday, July 31 "Warm Blood", which is another '80s-inspired cut off the LP scheduled to come out on August 21.

The synth-heavy track was produced and co-written by Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend. It highlights Jepsen's breathy vocals over the retro beat. "I can't control it anymore, I would throw in the towel for you, boy/ Cause you lift me up and catch me when I'm fallin' for you," she sings the chorus.

"Warm Blood" is the fifth track to have surfaced from "E.MO.TION", following "I Really Like You", "Run Away With Me", "Your Type" and the title track "E.MO.TION". Jepsen recently revealed that the newest song was one of her favorites on the upcoming album.

"Well, with Rostam, we made what's maybe one of my favorite songs," she said. "It's really strange... It's one of my top favorites of all of them. I think the luxury that I had with the two years of taking this break and doing the New York and Broadway thing gave me time to experiment. I wrote with some of the biggest pop writers, and then I wrote with people who I just admired myself with my taste, which is a little bit more left of center."
