Fans may not be surprised with the rumor as the pair has gotten back together and broken up so often. The source doesn't mention the reason why the couple pulled the plug on their relationship, but the obvious thing is they are no longer an item now.
This is the pair's second break-up this year, as they previously split in March. They decided to split because they could not handle the obstacle of having a long distance relationship. The "Teenage Dream" singer was reportedly having trust issues while John desired more attention from Katy. However, the couple reconciled in May.
"Katy and John reconnected once she had a break in her Prismatic World Tour. So, for those few months they had a great time, pretending that it would last - and of course it didn't," a source told Radar Online.
People may think that the 30-year-old actress will have a hard time after breaking up with her beau, but she is apparently a tough woman. She looked radiant performing a magic show in Los Angeles, California on July 22 to promote her latest perfume, Mad Potion. Following the event, Katy posted a video on Instagram which shows the magic performance. "when your fragrance is #madpotion," so read the caption.
