Britney Spears to Launch Her Own Video Game

The 'Oops!... I Did It Again' hitmaker has signed an eight-year licensing deal with Glu Mobile, the developer behind the multi-million dollar 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood'.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is getting her own video game. The "Toxic" hitmaker has inked an eight-year mobile gaming partnership with Glu Mobile, the San Fransisco-based developer behind the multi-million dollar "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood".

Glu Mobile's CEO Niccolo de Masi said during an earnings call on Wednesday, April 29, "We've signed an exclusive mobile gaming partnership with Britney Spears for up to eight years. Britney is an iconic Grammy Award winning talent with nearly 90 million total social followers and a highly successful Las Vegas show. She has sold over a 100 million singles, 100 million albums, won six MTV Video Music Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards."

"People like Britney Spears obviously have been successful for more than a decade. They have brand recognition and social following everywhere: not just developed nations but also emerging markets," Niccolo added, "We can use our partnership with her to expand not only amongst the casual demographic, but also to try and bring new people into gaming that have never played a game before."

The game, which features "the voice, likeness, and creative influence of Ms. Spears" will launch in the first half of 2016. Other celebrities like Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner will have their own games later this year.
