A new report about Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles' top secret joint album has emerged. A source told Page Six that the power couple would be hitting the studio to record new songs for the project that they planned to release "later this year or early next year."
If the rumor is true, the album will be Jay-Z's first since last year's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail". It will also be Beyonce's first collection since her self-titled LP arrived without prior notice back in December.
Despite very little promotion, Bey's surprise album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 and managed to stay atop the chart for multiple weeks. The unusual release has now become the focus of a study at Harvard Business School.
Jay-Z and Beyonce recently wrapped up their massively successful "On the Run" co-headlining tour in Paris, the city where they got engaged and their daughter Blue Ivy was conceived.
