Miley Cyrus' June concert in Finland may be canceled due to U.S. sanctions against Russia. The former Disney star is scheduled to perform at Helsinki's Hartwall Arena, a venue owned by three Russian tycoons with ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The three Russians are oil trader Gennady Timchenko and Putin's childhood friends Boris and Arkady Rotenberg. They all have had their visas revoked and assets frozen by the United States as part of sanctions put in place following Russia's annexation of Crimea in Ukraine.

Live Nation, which booked the concert, is currently trying to find out whether or not the sanction will affect Cyrus' concert. "We are examining the possibility whether this could have an impact on American artists' shows," said Nina Castren, the chief executive of Live Nation Finland.

"We do not know yet if they will have to be canceled but our lawyers are investigating what it means for us and the venues," she continued and added that her company expected to have an answer by Friday.

Cyrus won't be the only artist whose concert may get scuttled because of the sanction. The Hartwall Arena currently lists the upcoming shows by other U.S. acts including Justin Timberlake, Aerosmith and Nine Inch Nails.
