President Obama hosts a dinner and welcomes the film's cast, producer, writer, and one of the original Monument Men for the special screening.

George Clooney and Matt Damon brought their historical movie "The Monuments Men" to the White House on Tuesday night, February 18 for a special screening. They were joined by co-star Bill Murray at the event that included a dinner with President Barack Obama.
Other A-list guests included Grant Heslov who produced and wrote the film with Clooney, Robert Edsel who penned the book "The Monuments Men", and Harry Ettlinger, member of the original Monument Men group. Clooney's parents were also on the guest list for the screening.
Directed by Clooney himself, the film tells the heroic story of the real-life art experts who were on a mission from Franklin D. Roosevelt to take back paintings and sculptures from the Nazis at the end of World War Two. Cate Blanchett and Jean Dujardin are among the cast as well.
Clooney is known as Obama's avid supporter and a generous donor to his political campaigns. Meanwhile, Damon, who was once also Obama's supporter, has expressed his disappointment with Mr. President's performance in the White House. Last year, he said Obama "broke up with him."
In response, the commander-in-chief jokingly said at the 2011 White House Correspondent Association Dinner, "Matt Damon said he was disappointed in my performance. Well, Matt, I just saw 'The Adjustment Bureau', so right back atcha, buddy!"
