Fox is eying to make a new superhero movie. The studio enters negotiations to pick up movie rights to "Starlight", an upcoming "Flash Gordon meets the Dark Knight" comic book written by "Kick-Ass" creator Mark Miller and illustrated by Goran Parlov.

The story centers on a space hero Duke McQueen who is forced to come out of his retirement and save the universe for one last adventure. The comic is due for release in March 2014. Simon Kinberg ("X-Men") is on board to produce the upcoming film adaptation.

Kinberg has just signed a new deal with Fox with plans on expanding the "X-Men" universe. He is also teaming up with fellow powerhouse producers Ridley Scott and Mark Gordon to do a movie remake of Agatha Christie's mystery novel "Murder on the Orient Express".
