Movie

Entitled 'Hammer', the brand new snippet is presented as a recovered footage from the top secret mission of the spacecraft sent to the moon but never returned.

AceShowbiz - Just days away from its theatrical release, "Apollo 18" has got another clip being presented as a "found footage". Coming out via Yahoo! Movies, the fresh snippet is less than a minute long but manages to show what happens when one of the astronauts who loses his mind has got a hold on a hammer.

One year after Apollo 17, the official last manned mission to the moon, was launched in 1972, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. What happened to them is said to be the real reason men have never gone back to the moon.

Produced by Timur Bekmambetov, "Apollo 18" is made in the style of a mockumentary. It presents what supposed to be the newly-found footage of the Apollo 18 mission which authenticity is denied by NASA. Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego serves as its director. This horror sci-fi thriller will roll into theaters across the United States on Friday, September 2.
