First Trailer and Poster for 'Fright Night' Hit Web
Movie

While the trailer sees Colin Farrell sinking his teeth into a girl, the one sheet offers a look at Anton Yelchin who is holding an ax.

AceShowbiz - "Fright Night" gets its first trailer. The creepy atmosphere in the video, obtained via IGN, starts when Evil Ed tells Charley Brewster that his new neighbor is a vampire. It turns darker when Charley sees Jerry Dandrige sinking his teeth into a girl.

In addition to the trailer, the site gets its hand on the first poster for the thriller movie. The one sheet features Charley who is holding an ax, apparently ready to slay the vampire. In the meantime, Jerry's face is seen in the background.

Charley, a teenager who just recently become one of the coolest students, is dating the most coveted girl in his high school. But the good things end as he learns that his new neighbor, Jerry, is a vampire. When he cannot convince anyone, including his mother, Charley has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself.

In a recent interview, Anton Yelchin, who stars as Charley, revealed that his character needs to reinvent himself. He said, "You really play two different people. There's the normal guy. The dorky, normal guy. And then there's the douchebag he's trying to be. And so it's fun to play those two and transition out of those two into just who he is."

"Because really, you have him posturing, being whoever he wants to be, and then all of the s**t goes down and he has to become who he really is," he continued. "He has no choice but to be who he really is in order to survive and protect the people he cares about, which I think is kind of poignant and also fun to play."

In the upcoming film, Colin Farrell takes the role of the blood-sucking creature while Christopher Mintz-Plasse potrays Evil Ed. Also joining the cast ensemble in the Craig Gillespie-directed film are the likes of Imogen Poots, David Tennant, and Toni Collette. The movie is set for August 19 release nationwide.
