"Fertile Ground", another horror film lined up for After Dark Original Fest, has just gotten a trailer. It gives preview to the seemingly perfect life of a young couple who is suddenly in terror of evil spirits inhabiting their house.

Emily and Nate Weaver leave the city for the rural comfort of Nate's ancestral home in New Hampshire. Once there, Emily is plagued by horrifying visions and haunted by the ghosts inhabiting their isolated new home. When Nate's behavior undergoes a strange and fearful metamorphous, Emily fears she might be the latest target in a murderous tradition.

Gale Harold and Leisha Hailey portray the couple in the film. Producer Courtney Solomon says on the casting choice, "Leisha Hailey is completely convincing as a woman in peril." Coming from director Adam Gierasch who also writes the script along with Jace Anderson, "Fertile Ground" is promised to present "twists and surprises" that "keep the viewer engaged and in constant suspense."

"Fertile Ground", along with five other films from After Dark Original, will be debuted in the U.S. on January 28.
