Natalie Portman is set to add two new roles in her life, a mom and a wife. The 29-year-old actress is expecting her first child together with boyfriend Benjamin Millepied and the couple is now engaged.
Shortly after the news hit the headlines, Natalie shared her thoughts on her double happiness. In a statement released exclusively via Entertainment Weekly, she says, "I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience."
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, who choreographed the ballet scenes in "Black Swan", met on the set of the movie. The couple reportedly started dating early this year but remained quiet about their relationship. The 33-year-old French-born principal dancer at the New York City Ballet also played the role of Portman's dancing partner in the psychological thriller from director Darren Aronofsky.
Portman has nabbed nominations at Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards for her performance in the film, which is currently playing in U.S. theaters.
