Yahoo! Movies has got its hand on the U.S. trailer for "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest". After some flashback scenes, the video sees Noomi Rapace's Lisbeth Salander lying on a hospital bed before she is taken into a locked room.

In this final installment of the "Millenium" trilogy, Salander is fighting for her life in more ways than one. In intensive care and charged with three murders, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.

Michael Nyqvist reprises his role as journalist Mikael Blomkvist, who will help prove Salander's innocence in the upcoming movie. Daniel Alfredson, who directed the second film of the series, returns to the same position for the follow-up. This thriller has been released in Sweden in November 2009, but it will not hit limited U.S. theaters until October 29.
