Columbia Pictures has provided a preview to "Eat, Pray, Love" starring Julia Roberts by debuting the first trailer for the film via Yahoo! Movies. More than half of the video gives a look at her life before she embarks on a journey around the world. The rest of the trailer then exposes her experiences when visiting several different countries.

In addition to the snippet, Columbia has also released some new pictures from the movie. Most of them highlight Roberts, either alone or alongside Javier Bardem. One still, however, features James Franco making a musical performance in what looks like a park. Bardem is additionally captured individually in an image.

In this film, Julia Roberts portrays Elizabeth Gilbert, a happily married woman who realizes her life needs to go in a different direction while trying to get pregnant. After a painful divorce, she takes off on a journey to visit Italy, India and Bali, Indonesia to look for balance of enjoying life, spirituality and love.

Based on the memoir by Gilbert of the same title, "Eat, Pray, Love" has Javier Bardem and James Franco on the cast ensemble to play Roberts' new love and her former husband respectively. This drama is directed by Ryan Murphy and planned to arrive in U.S. cinemas on August 13.
