Australia's Today show has brought forth a first look featurette of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". The two-and-a-half-minute featurette presents some of the never-before-seen scenes in addition to behind-the-scene footage of the filming as well as interviews with director David Yates and some of the major cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.

Some of the new footage exposed in this featurette included a short glimpse at Ron and Lavender kissing, Draco doing the Sectumsempra spell in the bathroom and Hermione Granger showing her jealousy over Ron's closeness with Lavender. Dramatic shots of the inferi in the cave surrounded by fire and the Death Eaters attacking the Burrow with the focus on Bellatrix have also been viewed here.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" will follow Harry Potter in his sixth year at Hogwarts during which the ever growing threat to the wizarding world by the evil dark wizard Lord Voldemort grows even stronger by day. Being the only one who has survived his attack, Harry accompanied by his two loyal friends, Ron and Hermione, prepares for the ultimate battle while the walls that used to keep him and his friends away from danger may not be a safe haven anymore.

Rated PG, the adventure fantasy film is directed by "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" helmer David Yates and sees Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson returning as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the movie in U.K. and U.S. simultaneously on July 17.
