Jodie Foster and film producer Cydney Bernard have decided to end their lesbian relationship, it has been claimed. The same-sex couple have been dating for 14 years and their split comes just four months after Jodie opened up for the first time about her sex orientation during an acceptance speech at a Los Angeles film gala in December.

Gushed about her female lover, Jodie said at that time while she was collecting an award, "My beautiful Cydney, who sticks with me through the rotten and the bliss." On the couple's split a source told the National Enquirer, "Jodie breaking up with Cydney is shocking."

The source then went on saying, "Right now it's the best kept secret in Hollywood, and it's not just because Jodie is legend and an intensely private person, either" adding that "She and Cydney have been together for so many years and have two children together, the potential fallout and legal wrangling from this split could be monumental."

Neither Jodie nor Cydney has made comment on the split report. The actress' publicist, as well, isn't available for comment just yet.

Jodie herself has two sons; Charles Foster and Kit Foster, but never discusses publicly on who their father actually is.
