Submission Deadline of MTV's Spoof Contest Extended

To provide more time for wannabe contestants in joining '2008 MTV Movie Spoof Contest', MTV have extended the deadline of video submission until May 18.

AceShowbiz - For those who are thinking of running on time in joining the "2008 MTV Movie Spoof Contest", there is a great news coming on their way. To give more chance for aspiring filmmakers and amateur comedians to join the contest held by MTV and Mark Burnett Productions for the upcoming 2008 MTV Movie Awards, the music network have extended the contest's submission deadline.

Contrary to the initial schedule stating that entrants have to submit their short parody videos before 11:59 P.M. ET on May 11, the contestants are now given time until 11:59 P.M. ET on May 18, 2008 to post their spoof footages. To make tings even better, one of MTV's partner sites for the contest, Daily Motion, has provided longer submission time until 11:59:59 EDT on May 19 adding that each eligible Motion entrant will obtain two free movie ticket vouchers.

"Movie Spoof Contest" is launched to give fans a chance to bring home their own MTV Movie Award by making only a three-minutes long movie parody. Chosen finalist will be flown to Los Angeles to attend in person this year MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on June 1, while the ultimate winner will be handed the famed golden popcorn statue on the ceremonial night.
