The screenwriter of "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" and "Voltron", Justin Marks is gearing up to tackle another feature film project. According to Variety, the scribbler has been tapped to pen the script of Rogue Picture's horror comic book adaptation "Hack/Slash".

Marks will team up with Ben Magid who has been signed earlier to work on the script. Further, together with Magid, he is set to finalize the script which initial draft has been made by Todd Lincoln and Martin Schenk.

Adapted from a comic book created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, "Slash" centers on Cassie Hack, a young woman who travels to small towns across the country to hunt serial killers. The film, scheduled for 2009 release, will be helmed by Lincoln and produced by Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter.

Marks is known for his works in adapting comic book, video game and toy-based feature films. He is said to be involved in the development of two Warner Bros. Pictures' films, "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" which is based on 1908s Mattel toy and "Green Arrow: Escape From Supermax" which is based on one of DC Comics heroes.
