Attorneys Quit Britney Spears' Custody Case Over Breakdown in Communication
Celebrity

Britney Spears' divorce attorneys, Sorrell Trope, who've been representing her in her custody battle with K-Fed are quitting.

AceShowbiz -

The high-powered firm of Trope and Trope has on Wednesday, January 2 filed legal papers in L.A. Superior Court, demanded to be relieved as Britney Spears' attorneys in her tough custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

In the legal papers, obtained by TMZ.com, attorney Tara Scott who acted as the legal representative for Sorrell Trope wrote, "There has been a breakdown in communications between [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible."

Trope and Trope's legal request to be relieved as Spears' counsel has been cited as one of the many reasons the pop star didn't show up at the court-appointed deposition scheduled to take place the same day.

No words from Spears herself concerning her no-show at the deposition and her attorneys' withdrawal.

A hearing on Trope's motion to be relieved as Spears' counsel is scheduled for February 4, 2008.
