Cartoon music group Gorillaz is going to embark on a tour. But how? Virtually of course. The virtual band is set to hit the road, which will be a one-day online event, on August 24.
For the sake of the tour, Gorillaz will drop into 12 different destinations by way of https://www.habbohotel.com, an online virtual community for teens. There, the band members, their cartoon alter egos to be exactly, will interact with fans, who will themselves be represented by avatars.
Each tour stop will take place at a different Habbo Hotel country Web site. The U.S. appearance set to begin at 4 p.m. (ET). 24 lucky participants will receive "backstage" passes to conduct private interviews with each of the band members.
