this horror comedy delivers limp humor along with some truly gross zombie effects; The humor is juvenile, the plotting is slapdash, and the living characters are only slightly more engaging than the zombies
they're also radically inconsistent, which is referenced by the characters in the film in one of many meta attempts at self-referential humor that doesn't quite stick the landing
there is a lack of energy and zest within the words spoken and lack of depth in the characters provided; however, with "Witness Infection" delivering the gore, scenes where they are up against the zombies horrifically entertaining
it's funny and entertaining; Not only is the gaseous zombie action hilarious but the dialogue between all of the characters is smart, witty, and genuinely funny without being over-the-top
Andy Palmer and his cast and crew make the best with what they have. "Witness Infection" is inspired and, most importantly, funny – certainly much more so than its title suggests. Its self-consciously silly spirit is infectious
