never less than arresting to the eye, but thin characters and a familiar story hold this Irish chiller back from entering the top tier of recent horror entries
it's got little to offer horror fans; cardboard characters, typical scares, terrible editing, and the lack of atmosphere make this one dead after the first act
Hardy serving up a marvellous creature design, a tightly focussed script, great location shooting and a rock-solid classical horror sensibility that pays off gangbusters. It feels like a future cult classic
