like the acting, it's strong and actually feels like a joy to watch; The Call really has a lot going for it; There’s a good premise deep down inside this film, and it's sold with some stellar actors
"The Call" is comfortable with basic jump scares and mediocre performances from the young actors; It's unfortunate they're (Shaye and Bell) not the stars of the film, as time with pros is always preferrable to the rest of this humdrum horror effort
